Vital ingredients for a good holidayGood quality ingredients and imaginative menus are the basis for our chalet cuisine. Whilst it is impossible to "please all of the people all of the time" we do our best to present varied and appetizing menus that the majority of guests will enjoy. Chalet holidays are always about good skiing, good company and good food. The resorts we go to provide the good skiing, our staff provide the good food and so it is just down to you to provide the good company! Breakfast and afternoon tea are served daily but on the chalet staff day off, there is no evening meal, leaving you free to sample one of the local restaurants. BreakfastOur chalets and chalet hotels offer a buffet selection of cereals, fresh fruit and yoghurts, freshly baked local bread and jams accompanied by fruit juices, tea and coffee. In addition there is a daily cooked option such as scrambled egg and tomato (not a full English!) served each day apart from the chalet staff day off and change over day. For the traditional skiers amongst you we can of course offer porridge on request! Afternoon TeaDiscuss the day's skiing with your fellow guests whilst enjoying delicious home-made cakes or biscuits, bread and jam and piping hot tea and chocolate to keep you going until dinner. DinnerDinner commences at 8 p.m. giving you plenty of time to rest aching muscles and recuperate before your meal is served. The three course meal (with a vegetarian alternative if preference is stated at time of booking) is served with house wine and followed by coffee. Please click here for a sample menu. WineWe serve a house red and white wine in all of our chalets, a small wine list is available in your chalet should you wish to purchase additional wines or you can of course choose to purchase your own wines in resort. (Please note that for either our Chalet Hotel Isba or Chamois D'Or, only the house wine or that purchased from the bar may be drunk). Children's SupperWe provide a child friendly supper at around 6pm for all children under 12years, if you have sole use of a chalet and you would prefer your children to eat a normal dinner with you at 8pm there is a £30 upgrade. For those in a shared chalet it is generally expected that under 12s would have the early supper. Please click here for a sample menu. Our Chalet staff always aim to please and as much as possible will adapt their menus to your specific tastes and dietary requests however we cannot provide vegan, kosher or gluten free meals and cannot guarantee a nut free environment. | Chalet extras....Whichever of our chalets you choose to holiday in, you can be assured of our same high standards for catering and service. However for those of our chalets that do cost a little more we provide the touches to reflect this. In addition to our normal chalet service, these chalets benefit from little extras such as a substantial cooked breakfast served every day except chalet staff day off and change over day. To tempt you before dinner you will enjoy a choice of canapés with a pre dinner aperitif but do ensure you leave enough space after your dessert to enjoy a cheeseboard accompanied by a glass of port. Finally to round the evening off, enjoy chocolates with your coffee. In addition these chalets benefit from a mid week towel change. |
